Package text owns platform-neutral text editing and shaping contracts.

Types

EditorEditor retains text, selection, and an optional IME composition range.
MeasureFuncMeasureFunc shapes and measures one line at a logical font size and weight (ui.TextStyle.Weight: 0 is regular) with a platform's own text engine: how wide the platform would draw it, which is not how wide Viva lays it out (layout uses the reference metrics every platform shares).
MetricsMetrics contains one shaped line's logical metrics.
RangeRange is a half-open rune range.

func SingleLine(value string) string

SingleLine folds pasted lines and tabs into spaces and drops other control characters. Printable Unicode and spaces within each line are preserved. Text that already fits one line is returned as it is, so typing costs no allocation.
